Color trends for autumn

Coloring

Beauty Artist and Yamá Cosmetics Ambassador, Thiago Martins, gives tips on the colors that will be in fashion this Fall/2022.

Autumn is here... and there's no shortage of cool hair color trends to try now. While the biggest color trends of the last two years have been natural, super low-maintenance colors - blondes with smoky roots and cinnamon browns - 2022 will be all about having fun when life starts to get back to normal and lighter (we hope so!).There are plenty of classic hair color ideas that are also on the rise. Why ask for obvious colors when you can invest in bolder shades like caramel highlights, champagne blue or pink?

Brunettes

Over the past year and this year, we've seen many blonde celebrities like Gigi Hadid, Hailey Bieber and Jade Picon swap their blonde for a very brown hair color, and we expect to see more people following in their footsteps in 2022. It's very easy, when opting for a darker shade of hair color, to apply the same shade to everything, a result similar to using a box dye at home. I believe it is the responsibility of professional colorists to give our clients something they could never achieve at home, so as not to end up with monochromatic hair I add points of light and depth with several deeper tones to make the result more three-dimensional and sophisticated.

A sophisticated brown is all about depth and dimension, so you and your colorist should agree on the deepest and lightest shade you want to see in your hair and then allow the colorist to place tones between them in the way they see fit to enhance your hair. The nice thing about this job is that you don't have to bleach your hair, you can just work with coloring by choosing a darker shade that will bring more depth and a lighter shade that will bring luminosity. Professional Color Nano Infusion is a derivation of the BECA B (BIO) E (ESTER) CArrier system, a transport system that allows molecules of the ideal size to be transported to the deepest parts of the fibre, guaranteeing greater homogenization of the color.

Copper reflections

Copper has also been a constant trend in 2021 and in 2022 it continues. In fact, it's only getting lighter and brighter. These shades are popular with people who want a bold change, with a sexy and even playful air.

Just bear in mind that this is one of the hardest to maintain, so plan regular touch-ups and make sure you only use milder shampoos to maintain the shade. Sulfate-free, paraben-free shampoos such as Less poo and Co Wash are ideal for washing colored hair and especially reddish tones.

Winter blonde

Now that the salons are open again, expect to see brighter blondes emerging this year. Platinum and pearly blondes will also be on the rise. There's just something about this one-tone, even color that's a high-lift or double-process blonde.

This color is great for those who want to stand out from the crowd. Although anyone can achieve this shade with a lot of bleaching, I only recommend it for those who already have lighter natural hair colors as it is such an intense bleaching process and can end up damaging darker hair:

Blue or Pink Fantasy

And for those who love colored hair, these two shades will be on the rise. Especially the washed-out and faded shades. These shades look great on pale skin.

I recommend chronograms as a treatment, especially for these shades where bleach is involved. All the work is worth it, because there's no denying that the final look is amazing!
