Let's take a look back at some of the women who made history.

Marie Curie‍

Marie was a Polish scientist and the only woman to date to have won two Nobel Prizes (for physics and chemistry). She contributed immensely to discoveries that changed the world, one of the best known being radioactivity. In addition, she faced various difficulties in her academic life because she was a woman and in a field mostly made up of men, but this didn't stop her from leaving her legacy.

Gabrielle Chanel

‍Morecommonly known as Coco Chanel, she was the creator of one of the most valuable brands in the world. The Frenchwoman rose to stardom with sophistication and by shaping women's fashion. She began working only with hats and then expanded to clothes, from her heyday she is remembered to this day, freeing women from corsets and heavy accessories. A curiosity: Coco was also the creator of the Chanel cut, this occurred after she accidentally burnt her own hair.

Marta Vieira da Silva

‍Martawas brought up by her mother along with her three brothers. At the age of 14, she got together the money she earned from carting and, with the help of people close to her, went alone to Rio de Janeiro to try out for Vasco, where she was approved and stayed for three years, and since then she has never stopped playing. She became known as the Queen of Football and was voted FIFA World Player of the Year six times.

Anne Frank

Whenwe think of strong women in the Second World War, it's impossible not to think of Anne Frank. Of Jewish lineage, Anne was one of the victims of Nazism and died at the age of 15. Her story became known through her diary, which recounted her daily life in hiding. Her father, Otto Frank, was the only survivor. He found his daughter's diary and published the book "The Diary of Anne Frank", one of the most moving books to date.

Malala Yousafzai

‍Malalabecame a reference point for defending education and ensuring that girls could attend school in her country. Malala was persecuted and suffered an assassination attempt, but after a few months of treatment, she recovered. She founded the Malala Fund, which raises money for education for girls around the world. In 2017, at just 17 years old, she was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.
